Everything about Fluke’s nifty 1650 Series has been designed to make installation testing one of the easiest and most pleasing parts of your job.
Weighing in at less than 1.2kg, the 1650 still manages to boast a huge display and wide viewing angle. The padded neck strap allows you to keep it on all day and work safely in any environment.
Getting to the point
The 1650’s simple controls and slim probe with test button* enable you to keep your eyes on the job in hand, making this device one of the safest around. You won’t need to bypass RCDs as the 1650 can measure loop impedance without tripping them. It’s tough too, withstanding the impact of a one-metre drop.
Your choice
There are three products in the 1650 range: 1651, 1652 and 1653, all fully compliant to IEC 60364, HD 384 and relevant local standards.
The models
1651: Performs all basic installation tests including continuity/insulation/loop impedance and RCD tripping time.
1652: Also provides RCD tripping current level and RCD auto-testing.
1653: As 1652 but with earth resistance and phase sequence measurement. An internal memory and a PC interface enables documentation and reporting.

Loop impedance (ZI)

The display
Rotary knob labeling is available in six versions. Select from English, French, German, Italian, Spanish or a user-friendly universal Symbols version.
Professional reports
You can store up to 500 test results in the 1653 installation tester including test function, user-selectable test conditions and unique references.
Using it’s IR port and adaptor you’ll also be able to uploaded your reports to a computer using the optional FlukeView™ Forms software. Choose between standard formats or create your own customised report.
